Session tracks

When you reach out, Greg will figure out which track fits you. You don't need to decide.

Build a Business

You have a business idea or side hustle that needs a web presence. You'll build a real site — a booking page, storefront, or landing page — that you own and can update yourself.

Good for: Entrepreneurs, freelancers, small business owners

Build Something

You have a project in mind — a game, a personal site, a Raspberry Pi setup, a portfolio. You'll leave with working code and the workflow to keep building after Saturday.

Good for: Hobbyists, curious adults, parents booking for a kid

Play Around

You're not sure what you want to build yet — you just want to see what's possible with modern AI tools. No project required. Come with curiosity.

What you need to bring

No prior experience required. But a few things need to be in place before the session so we can hit the ground running.

A cloud account

Sign up for AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud before you arrive. All three have free tiers — you won't need to pay anything on session day. We use CLI tools to deploy fast, so having the account ready matters.

An AI account

Have at least one of Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT / Codex (OpenAI), or Gemini (Google) set up. Any capable LLM works — these are just the ones Greg uses professionally. Free tiers are fine to start.

A laptop

Windows or Mac both work. No special setup beforehand — Greg walks you through installing everything you need at the start of the session.

A GPU (generative AI only)

Only needed if you want to run AI models locally — image generation, local LLMs. For everything else (web apps, APIs, cloud AI) a standard laptop is fine.

What does it cost after the session?

Once your project is deployed, you own it. Here's what a real production stack — frontend, backend, database, domain, and DNS — typically costs per month across the major cloud providers. Free tiers can cover most of this in year one.

Component AWS Azure Google Cloud
Frontend (static hosting) S3 + CloudFront — ~$1–3 Static Web Apps — free–$9 Firebase Hosting — free–$1
Backend (serverless / compute) Lambda — free–$5 Functions — free–$5 Cloud Run — free–$5
Database (managed) RDS t4g.micro — ~$15 Azure SQL Basic — ~$5 Cloud SQL micro — ~$9
Domain + DNS Route 53 — ~$2 App Service domain — ~$2 Cloud DNS — ~$2
Estimated monthly total ~$20–25 / mo ~$13–21 / mo ~$13–17 / mo

Estimates based on low-traffic hobby or small-business apps as of 2025. Actual costs vary by usage. Free-tier credits (AWS 12-month, Azure $200, GCP $300) can reduce year-one costs to near zero.
